In 1997, Sakae Sushi introduced its inaugural flagship store in Singapore at the OUB Center. Its innovative 2-tier sushi conveyor belt pricing system proved to be so straightforward and affordable that people were willing to wait in lengthy queues to experience it. Within a year, this pioneering sushi establishment launched its second branch, securing patents for the Interactive Menu and Portable Conveyor Belt. This groundbreaking approach led to a gradual expansion of local sushi eateries throughout Singapore.
