Saizeriya – City Square Mall

Saizeriya’s origins date back to 1967, when it was established in a modest space above a grocery store within a shop house in Japan. Conceived by Takeshi Saiki, the inspiration behind Saizeriya stemmed from the traditional Italian trattoria eateries found in Milan.

Takeshi Saiki’s admiration for Italian cuisine was kindled during a visit to Italy, leading him to establish his own restaurant in Japan. His aspiration was to introduce the flavors of Italy to Japanese diners, and thus he curated a menu featuring timeless Italian classics like pasta, pizza, and risotto, all offered at accessible prices.

Since its inception, the brand has expanded to encompass more than 1,000 establishments in Japan. Additionally, it has firmly established its presence in several Asian cities including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and notably, Singapore. Presently, Saizeriya boasts over 30 outlets scattered across Singapore.

Saizeriya’s extensive menu encompasses an array of offerings, ranging from quintessential Italian staples to local specialties, all thoughtfully priced. Their menu spans both warm and cold dishes, encompassing a spectrum from pizza and pasta to salads and soups. Main courses encompass grilled steaks, fish, pork cutlets, and a variety of other meats. Appetizers feature delights such as bruschetta and fried calamari.
